Lindsey Behrendt, OD, FAAO

Dr. Lindsey Behrendt earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern College of Optometry (SCO) in Memphis, Tennessee. During her training, she completed an ocular disease-focused clinical externship at the Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas, where she gained extensive experience managing complex medical eye conditions. She also completed a primary care and specialty contact lens rotation at a private practice in the Kansas City area.

While at SCO, Dr. Behrendt was actively involved in Student Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (SVOSH) and participated in eyecare mission trips to Mexico and Belize. She has continued this service-driven work as the President of VOSH-Nebraska, helping expand access to vision care for underserved communities.

Originally from Oakley, Kansas, Dr. Behrendt graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences, along with minors in Biology and Gerontology.

Dr. Behrendt provides full-scope primary eye care, with special interest in pediatric vision, myopia control, specialty contact lenses, and long-term family eyecare. She is an active member of the American Optometric Association, Nebraska Optometric Association, Academy of Orthokeratology and Myopia Control, and the Omaha Sunrise Lions Club.

Dr. Behrendt has been a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry since 2018.

Outside of clinic, Dr. Behrendt enjoys spending time with her husband, John, along with family and friends. She loves cheering on the Kansas State Wildcats and exploring new places while traveling.
